TOPEKA, KANSAS — The Kansas Association of Airports awarded Senator Claeys the Excellence in Aviation Legislation Award in recognition of his pivotal leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing critical legislation that significantly increased annual funding for Kansas airports.
The successful passage of HB 2498, which raised the annual transfer of the Public Use General Aviation Airport Development Fund from $5 million annually to $15 million annually will greatly strengthen the aviation infrastructure of Kansas, ensuring growth and sustainability for future generations.
